i'm experiencing writer's block! i have no inspiration whatsoever or any motivation to write. cos its the HOLIDAYS (my,doesn't that look festive?) and i have absolutely nothing to do.
early this morning i woke up at 6 30am to get ready for physics remedial at 8am. my mum drove my brother, my sis and i to work/school/o' lvls. maan.. i reached school at 7 15am and just sat around till 8 am.The remedial was at the AVT and i was freeezing in there. I like that teacher.yep. ok,to set the record straight, i did not fail physics. i merely got below 60. SIGH. and all because i forgot to convert kilograms into freaking newtons for the whole paper. arrrrgh!. careless.tsktsk. time flew and soon all the note taking was over. when i came back i ate lunch, showered, slacked, slacked, and basically slacked some more.
its all in a typical day of my life.
last night was interesting though. i spent an hour and a half at the window side watching lightning.its not that i had nothing better to do but..okay..i had nothing better to do. sigh.repetition.
lightning is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. seriously. i have this huge fetish for that silvery-purple streak. its electricity that just comes out of nowhere!! like how awesome! the best part about it is that it commands respect. because lightning is certainly something you would definitely want to 'look at but not touch.' its much better to admire lightning from the safety of your living room.
ok,just for your information, lightning strikes our earth 100 times every second. Each flash contains about one billion volts of electricity. That's enough energy to light a 100-watt bulb for three months. and lightning is a visible electric discharge between rain clouds. confused?so am i. when i was muchmuchMUCH younger i used to believe that thunder was caused by angels who were bowling in heaven. *grimaces* lalalala i can't hear you laughing...
oh my goodness... i can only imagine what's its like to be sitting for the O' levels right now. i would be mugging my brains out for physics tomorrow.eek! my most dreaded subject. chemistry is waay funner. im sure that all O' level candidates are probably going all emo right now. i love that word.emo. like..emotional.
ok..i've been researching and i found out this really cool fact about thunder. you can actually use thunder to determine how far away a storm is. Next time you see a storm, count the number of seconds between when you see the lightning and hear the thunder. Take the number of seconds and divide by 5 and that will tell you how far away the storm is in miles. (1 mile ~ 1.6km)
way cool huh? okay..this entry is much longer than intended so im going now. ciao!
my b'day is coming right up! 14th november. yay...I'm gonna be... 15!!!!!!!!
