adrenaline rush. that's what you get while clubbing.
last night my siblings and i went for this event at Chinablack, a club/disco, whatever you call it. the event, otherwise known as Flick, is actually a pre-christmas party organised by a friend's friend's...... by someone. tickets had to be ordered through friends who had connections with the host of Flick. Flick is, like i said, a party but its at a club, Chinablack. and you know how clubs are for people aged 18++ right? well there were no alcoholic drinks, thus allowing youths to have the luxury to experience clubbing. before we were actually legal.
Flick took place last night, 19th december. our parents dropped us off. the whole place was swimming with people. let me describe it to you. the dancefloor is in the middle, and is surrounded by several sitting areas and palm trees. the whole place is dark, lit only by laser rays and colourful lights.oh, not to forget the traditional sparkly ball on top at the middle. for some reason, the whole place is foggy, making vision rather difficult. there are bars situated at corners. the dancefloor is just, well, a floor. there are certain places where the floor is elevated,so you can go up if you have the guts to. it was really really crowded, nearly impossible to enter or leave the dancefloor. music is booming and you can feel the bass. trust me.in fact, it seems to make the whole place vibrate. it was a mixture of R&B and trance. techno is like so passe.
at first when i went in i got a shock. firstly, it was, as i said, crowded. secondly, the people there were scary. punky youths dressed formally. that's almost like an oxymoron.ohwell. people were screaming and cheering. so i just sat around, soaking in the awesomeness of the whole place. then after a drink to calm myself down i entered the dance floor. and danced. being in the dance club for two years, as i only discovered yesterday, does have some benefits. like the fact that it really increases your flexibility. so anyway the whole dancefloor was filled with sweaty, gyrating bodies and swinging hips. beieve me, you can't move an inch with banging into someone. i had fun, really. we arrived at 11 15pm and left at 2 30am. our parents picked us up and sent us home. it was a real eye-opener to clubbing. how fun and dangerous it can be. it should certainly be done in the future, but only sparingly. to go there often often would be social suicide.heh.
by the time we reached home it was 3 am. i woke up at 1 30pm today. then i got ready and went to pick up my contact lenses. i decided to use monthly contacts. it would be better in the long run.
my sis, dad and bro are working. which leaves me and my mum at home. and rainbow, of course. i wanna go ice skating with florence + others. and i wanna do my geography hw with florence. so many things to do, so little time..heh.movie quote. so anyway, people, its almost the end of the holidays. ignorance is bliss though. just think, soon we'll be ushering in 2006. sigh.
