isn't this the most beautiful sight ever?
well this is not a picture produced by
some computer genius who happens to be
terrific at blending colours and placing
them on a nice background.nope.
this is an aurora borealis, otherwise known
as northern lights. It is a magnificent
nighttime phenomenon that occurs when harmful
solar particles collide with the earth's
protective atmosphere.
the result is a really pretty mix of colours
in the night sky, sort of like an oil painting,
but with the sky as a canvas.
auroras are commonly found
in countries like greenland, siberia,
alaska, antartica and sometimes,canada.
if you go to alaska on a guided tour,
chances are, there will be a viewing
of an aurora borealis.most likely,
the tour will be on a nice big boat
where you can lie back and enjoy
the flickering of the northern lights.
if you're interested to find out more,
you can always visit

for detailed explanations on auroras.
correct me if i'm wrong,
but many people are clueless about
this natural phenomenon because it
doesn't happen over here in singapore.
so go find out more!!
gosh i sound like a teacher.
its new years's eve.
let us usher in 2006!!!
So I won't give up
No, I won't break down
Sooner than it seems life turns around
And I will be strong
Even if it all goes wrong
When I'm standing in the dark
I'll still believe
Someone's watching over me
the last day of the year, 6 29pm.
