HELLOOO! its amazing how this holiday is just zooming by! fun post today!
had maths makeup lesson today. i didn't even listen..my mind was someplace else.. my mind was at escape theme park!! i had decided to go there today with honghui,phoebe,mingyue,katherine, and of course,florence! she was the one who convinced me to go in the first place! imma coward,really. so after the fruitless lesson, we waited for mingyue to complete her chem pract then we set off! my ez link card had -30+ cents. the last time i topped it up was last year..
so..we entered the theme park. somehow i had envisioned it to be really teeny.. so i was rather impressed. but they don't have mch rides there! oh btw if you're getting blur vibes.. I HAVE NEVER BEEN THERE UNTIL TODAY! ever since getting traumatised on a viking ship ride in australia when i was about 10, i stopped riding roller coasters altogether. it was damn freaky! so i resolved to settle my phobia today!
the first ride we took was the funnest and i took it three times! its the first ride at the entrance! this spinning metal disc thing and you're in a carriage which is practically hanging on its hinges. the metal disc thingi will spin uber fast and due to the weight of the people in the carriage, the carriage will be flung around 360 degrees.. i shut my eyes all the time. sometimes i stole a peek, but once i saw blue(the sky) i immediately squeezed them shut again. i LOVE that ride!its my favourite. oh and i always sabo floence to sit at the side..
we sat many kiddy rides. sometimes we even had trouble fitting in! oh and we went for the go-kart. we queued for really long but it was worth it. i didn't finish last!that's an achievement in itself. haha.i didn't know how to operate the car properly. i remember the luge ride up the mountain in new zealand..i like got stuck and my dad had to ram me at the back so that i could get out.
we also went for the VIKING RIDE. oh.my.gawd. i'm telling you,i realised my fears all over again! i sat at the 2nd last row with florence. looking back, i thank God that the last row was taken otherwise i wouldn't even be here blogging right now. its that bad.everything started off ok. cheapthrills.. the suddenly the damned ship just went so high..i was like almost vertical. then it paused for a split second and before i knew it, i was plunging down.i felt as though my heart was still somewhere up there. my legs became jelly and i couldn't even move them. it lasted forever. everyone was going like "WHOO!!!" and i was screaming at the top of my lungs.pronanly the only crazy one. oh well.everyone is entitled to their 'moments'. haha.anyway after i got off i lifted my hands in front of my face and they were SHAKING.uncontrollably. they shook for about a good half hour. i'll NEVER do the viking again. i have a fear of heights and i'm a lil claustrophobic, so rollercoasters should be off my to-do list.. but i'm ok with fast speeds, its just the i can't bear plunging headfirst down. oh WHATEVER.haha.how diva-ish.
and we then went to the haunted house. I'M NEVER GOING IN IT AGAIN. it was super freaky. the humans are the scary ones. all the statues are not scary. but the human at the entrance was banging an axe or something against the wall. i can't remember which of my friends went in first,but she got an awful shock when the man emerged from the black drapy curtains brandishing an axe. turst me,humans are the most scary.they're so unpredictable. statues however can only twitch a little bit. mirrors were everywhere too!oh boy...
overall, i really enjoyed myself. i'm glad that i went,no regrets. i don't even regret sitting the viking, because it's a reminder NEVER to do it again. heh.i wanna ride the spinning-flinging you aroud ride.someone buy me one please? then i'll be able to admitt people in. all for the fee of $2.i'll be a millionaire! oh and i get a free pass cos many of the rides were under maintenance today. about 4 rides.but out of these four, i'll probably only ride one.
you know,after riding the viking i really admire the courage of those who have tried bungee jumping, because its a 1000 times worse. gotta rest now.i'm supposed to have lunch with my aunt tomorrow.. night all!
