I would like to pay a tribute
to the late Steve Irwin,
affectionately dubbed as the 'Crocodile Hunter'
by the million of fans and viewers
that he has earned through
his love for animals and his endless
zest for life.
Steve Irwin was unfortunately killed
as he was filming due to
a wound right through his heart
that a poisonous stingray inflicted.
Shortly after, he was pronounced dead.
I mourn the loss of such a wonderful man,
such an extraordinary man,
such a doting father.
I truly am sorry for his wife,
beautiful young daughter
and his infant boy.
May God's peace be with them
even through the darkest hours
of their life.
I grew up watching Steve Irwin on
Animal Planet, and was often in awe
of the remarkable stunts he pulled
and his natural connection with wildlife.
He died doing what he loved doing most,
and that is all that matters.

extraordinary things, people
aften think that they are invincible,
undefeatable.
But after all, everyone is human,
even if it takes a death for us to realise that.
Mr Irwin, rest in peace.
You have a made a significant difference
in the lives of animals, big or small.
May God's grace be with you forever,
and ever more.
