my new cam arrived yesterday!
anyways, there was a gathering
with my tuition pals today.
the thing is, i forgot, and promised
my mum that i would go out with her.
as i was stepping out, i switched on my phone..
and got serveral smses.
uh-oh..
glanced over at my mum, and decided
to give the gathering a miss.
didn't want to dampen her spirits.
gosh, i'm soooooo sorry man!!
i hate it when i cross-promise..
undeniably, though, it was a
gorgeous day..

hopped on the NEL,
and it was a straightforward
ride to harbourfront.
and finally... i get to visit Vivo city.
i liked the rooftop viewpoints.

people that i know are like vivo this

and i'm like o.o???
at last i get to actually go there.
had lunch at Asian Kitchen.
not bad, i have to say.
6 hours later and i'm still super full.

looks like there's bacteria.
i walked around for 2 hours.
there was basically nothing much
on the top floors.
(my opinion)
the pet safari was half-renovated.
went in to take a look at the adorable puppies.
someday, i'll get one of my own!!
descended to the first floor.
there was definitely much more
stuff there!
plus xmas sales too!!
only at the last 1/2 hr
i found stuff to buy.
bought:
a super cute skull headband.
velvet Mango hoodie.
Guess bag.
matching Guess wallet.
a plastic dish for Rainbow to bathe in,
from the ever random Daiso $2 shop.
i really wanted a skirt from Topshop.
But it was ridiculously priced.

headed home after that.
the train was jam packed.
rush hour!
i get super annoyed when
in such tight spaces, people
actually blast music from their phone.
please invest in a good pair of headphones.

maybe these ppl are just trying
to show off their flashy gadgets.
i'll always remember a funny
incident that i heard about on radio.
an ah beng was trying to haolian
about his new phone.
he was apparantly talking on the phone.
saying: Ah. Good. Clear right?
Very exp. you know. yadda yadda...
when suddenly..his phone rang.
he alighted on the next stop.
hahaha.

i know my entries have been bland
for super long.
so.. here you go.
you know, people are kiasu.
all of us.
its the extent of kiasu-ism that matters.
many a time have i heard this ridiculous
claim:
leave products on longer than stated,
get better results!!
BULL.

don't get confused.
here's an illustration.
face masks.
those paper like face-shaped things
that come soaked with, say,
whitening solution.
or moisturising solution.
or radiance solution.
whatever.
you take them out from a sealed
pack, and place it on your face.
and wait.
usually, its for 15 mins.
my blood pressure shoots up when
people say:
Hey... leave it on for 1/2 hour.
the results will be better.gosh.
where is your common sense??
when products are effective,
more people will buy them,
and the company will thus earn more income.
so why, why, WHY,
would a company instruct you to put the face mask
on for 15 mins when it can actually last
for 1/2 hour??
wouldn't it be courting its own doom??
why, WHY would they want to make
their products less effective than they are??
i read from a magazine that the stated
time is how long the product can last.
after that duration, the product is useless.
so you just continue relaxing.
but in no way will it "be more effective."
in fact, i suspect that the product only lasts for like 12 mins.
the extra 3 mins is just to make sure
that all of the product in used up.
yup.
that's all i have to say.
