hows your cny been going?
this year my family totally ran
out of places to go;friends to visit.
but anyway here's how mine went.
Day -1.
Steamboat at my grandmum's place.
Let the gambling begin!
Day 1.
Family gathering at my place.snacking and gambling =x
Day 2.
Family gathering at my aunt's newly rented place.
4 mins walk from wisma atria, taka.
true city living at Paterson's Edge.
chic, small place.
oh.and guess who lives just downstairs?
David Gan.
But he's moving soon.
Security is super tight.
the lift only brings you to the designated floor.
and the price for all that extravaganza?
$5000/month.
Day 3.
Visited my mum's friend,went to
another aunt's place.
Day 4 would be today.
sleeping at 2 and waking up at 2 is
very confusing.
cos i wrongly reported for work today.
was so paiseh.
supposed to work tomorrow.
thank goodness my mum was in town,
so i went to meet her for shopping.
bought a shirt, a necklace, and pretty
strappy silver sandals.
i'm sick!
that's what cny goodies does to you.
sore throat.
and i felt an upcoming fever,
but a panadol solved that.
have you realised that drama serials
all come with a moral?
all too often you see that crimes
get you into endless trouble,
as do affairs too.
and the all too familiar pride-comes-before-a-fall
scenario.
often the villian is guilty of that.
sooo...
watch drama serials people!
wanna rest soon.
so i'll leave it to the few pics.
***
who says i take blurry shots rawr!!
there you go.
the rose.

macro mode.
blurry background.

yay.exposure shot again.
8 secs this time.and the orb
in the center is my cam flash.

that's all, till next time.

i just posted.
but i forgot to include photos.
so here they are.
the strawberries look juicy.
they were.

a particularly vicious snake.

hah!
look at the guilty look on her face!

looks like she can only look and drool
under my watchful eyes!

my mum will kill me if
she finds out that the bird has
been prancing over the dining table.
now proceed to my actual post!
4:23 PM
who likes this song?
i do!
Evanescence-Exodus.
it starts off kinda sad but gets
a lil scary at the end with all the
echoes and what not.
wednesday i had a steamboat dinner
with my friends..
yes!! the first valentine's day
where i'm not stuck at home
watching channel 5 love comedies
and feeling like a loooser.
hehe.
but as everyone has so kindly pointed out
to me--its my own choice -__-
thank you to a certain friend who wrote
me a letter.
it made me tear up a lil.
*sniff*
i feel your love!
oh btw fyi,(lol 2 abbreviations side by side)
you said stay in contact..
remember now? ;)
so..
purpose of blogging.
to note down some happenings.
firstly,
tuesday night ( working )
on the way home i had the worst mrt ride home.
believe me,
its worst than some terrorist exercise
with mock suicide bombers jumping
out from corners and giving you
the fright of your life.
ok.
i was standing up,
there were no seats.
about 2 metres away from me
there was a man, late 30s.
dressed quite sharply.
there were many people between us.
(thank God!)
suddenly he almost fell.
a lady caught him.
at the point in time my guess
was that he fell asleep while standing.
lol.
possible right?
someone immediately offered him a seat.
just as things were returning to normal,
he suddenly...
vomitted all over the place.
it splattered from one side of the train to the other.
ewww.
it was dark brown with toffee coloured froth.
OK.
I'LL STOP.
i was expecting , you know,
the international vomit scent to hit me
in the face hard.
but.
BUT.
instead came the smell of liquor.
it was SO STRONG.
the man was soo embarrassed.
he cleaned everything up.
and thus i suffered that stench
(as did the surrounding people)
for the next 10 mins or so.
as i was relating this incident to my mum
she asked me:
why didn't you get down at the next stop?
and i felt like an idiot.
if only i had thought of that.
*groan*
topic switch.
i can almost smell the stench again.
anyways moral of the story:
don't drink and take public transport.
i know that contradicts every
"Don't drink and drive" advertisement.
but still, don't affect the public ok?!
Drink and walk home.
yeah.
on that same day,
tuesday afternoon while i was working,
i got approached by the supervisor
of an advertising firm.
they see me as a potential face for some
starhub ad.
yay!
but i'm too lazy to go for an interview leh.
someone kick me pls.
on a side note, i'm totally eyeing this:
http://www.louisvuitton.com/web/flash/index.jsp;jsessionid=12ZQ1GJCBGLGMCRBXUFFAGIKEG4RAUPU?buy=0&langue=en_GB
but haiyo,
565 dollars.
its the cost of a phone.but--
can last much longer.
my mum wants a bag.
her budget is 1k.
yay!
i recommended this to her:
http://www.louisvuitton.com/web/flash/index.jsp;jsessionid=12ZQ1GJCBGLGMCRBXUFFAGIKEG4RAUPU?buy=0&langue=en_GB
i hope she buys it.
1.1k.
so i can use it too!
muahaha!
i'm in need of a nice big bag too.
too lazy to write anymore, bye!
p.s: got my pay yesterday.
413 for half a month plus a couple of days.
not bad right?
and considering that i work like 2/3
times a week or so..

To sum up yesterday:
An impromptu picnic and an
incident-inspired photoshoot.
sigh...
that's a happy sigh btw.
after this post i'll be going to post
my choices...
i bet the system will be laggy.
so..
1st-TP mass com.
2nd-NP mass com
3rd-SP mass com
4th-NYP mass com
5th-MJC!!
has anyone ever seen a more
peculiar choice list?
ok...on to the photographs!
I was absolutely convinced that this photo
was straight.
but somehow the horizon became
u-shaped.
nice shot nonetheless.

The coming in and going out of the tides.
and the trail that m.y and i left.

It slowly became dark.
funnily, there was no sunset.
like you can't see the sun slipping
slowly below the horizon -_-

if you click on this pic,
you'll see a white dot in the center.
and no,
its not dust on your monitor.
its a star!
the brightest one present.
i think its the northern star.
also known as sirius.
who says digi-cams can't capture stars?
so that you'll understand the next few shots,
here's an intro.
there is such a thing as long exposure
for cam shots.
meaning, you slower the shutter speed
so that the camera captures everything
that happens during the exposure
time and composes it into one shot.
take the below pic for example.
the long exposure captured a trail of car
taillights.
well, m.y was playing around with the cam,
when she took this photo.
it was a single star but because of the
long exposure she captured a trail of her
hand movement.
incredible, huh?
ok..
broke this post into 2 cos it became incredibly laggy!
onto the next post!
12:59 PM
I did a smile.
you have to click on it to see though.

m.y did this one..it really resembles
an arrow pointing at the top right hand
corner with a curly tail!

Then h.h tried it,
using the ship lights instead of the stars.
looks electrifying.

I gave it a try.not too bad eh?

Exposure 8 secs,
using the pub lights to a magical effect.
this could be a background for a blog =

Nice right?
=)
***
What an awwww--inspiring photo.
photos shot in the pitch dark
always look like oil paintings.
(don't look at me like that,
its my 17th lonely valentine,
what were you thinking?!)
notmenotme.
lol.
don't ask me who.
i don't know =)

***
And that wraps up beach shots.
***
on to the randoms!
Shot at s'pore expo.
when you look at photos like this,
you know, you JUST know..
that this world isn't the result of
a big bang.

0.0
You're staring at a gastronimical feast.
....
My most fav. meal in the world!

***
How's that?
My 2 potential phones on the same
page, same column.
actually they're valentine's day gifts..
but that's crazy ex!
anyways...if i buy the pink phone
i'll keep my current (aka 2 cells!)
but if i buy the black phone i'll
have just one.
what do you think?

***
Sometimes drinks look boring.
And then some spicing up would be in order.

and..........
Tada! Neon Blue drink!!

Actually i just popped it in front of a blue light
but you don't need to know that alright? ;)
End.
Clara.

whoopee!
i must be one of the first few to blog
after the release of the results.
there's a lot going through my mind,
gotta 'dump' them here.
welcome to this vast rubbish chute called my 'blog'.
anyway..
my results was a shock.
and a pleasant one.
see?(told ya)
debating whether or not to post
my results here..
ok anyway,
excluding cca,
l1r5 of 13.
l1b4 of 10.
so...
that means i'm eligible for mass com.
temasek poly!
yay..here i come..
overall i had 3 distinctions,
4 B3s.
i hate the Bs.
english-A1,
Chem-A2...
and get this...GET this..
GET THIS!!!
Combined humans-A1.
i was totally speechless.
the silly thing which has given me sleepless
nights, that i was SURE i was gonna fail
gives me an A1!
All i knew was that i rocked s.s,
and for geog i wrote well, but wrote crap.
i was asked about global warming
and i talked endless about the greenhouse effect.
which are, 2 diff things, d-oh.
its puzzling..
and i'm so grateful to God.
All my prayers have been answered!
went out with m.y, h.h, and..er..
i-forgot-his-name.
-__-
yep..
basically we took neoprints
and put eyedrops in h.h's
infected eyes.
sleeping with contact lenses is..bad.
neoprints was hilarious..
it always seems to me that we're
unprepared...
but the end results were kinda nice..
and i wanna post them up...
but i dunno how to.
my scanner's down =(
maybe m.y can put them up..
and then i'll blog-lift..
(something like shoplift)
now that i got 13..
my mum started her
so-wasted-never-go-jc thing again.
haha.
and for a while i actually gave jc some consideration.
i'm eligible for meridian jc!
which is quite a gd jc..and my friend is there.
plus all the adults telling me to go to a jc.
that was a stumbling block..
but then i realised that if i go to a jc
i'll be doing it to please others, not myself.
and going with the flow means that one'll
get lost in the crowd.
i have to follow my heart...
even more so now that i have the
opportunity to do so.
these thoughts ran through my head for 3 mins.
i think i'll do the application form thing
tmr?
i bet its laggy right now =x
even as i'm celebrating, there will definitely
be others mourning.
and to them i can offer this word of advice
from oprah winfrey:
"Failure is God's way of nudging you towards another direction."
cheer up!

sigh.things happen.
especially when you're online.
i'll start this post by warning maplers
about Covic.
He's a big scammer..a cheat.
well, just another ordinary day of mapling
at home..or so i thought.
my wand got hacked...
ahhh!!!
my wand!!
that cost about 70m.
i'm speechless.
how can people do this??
smile one day and cheat you the next.
what hypocrites..
probably the worst part of this
is that since i was the one using the
account when this incident happened...
i somehow became the one responsible, duh.
and that is so unfair.
and hurtful.
but don't these things happen in life all the time?
we have to take responsiblity for things
which we're not guilty of.
what's new??
we have to pay for others actions...
and the finger gets pointed to us.
enough.
i'm too tired and beaten to write anymore.
defeated,
clara.
p.s: to tagger no-one..
linked here through my friendster account, huh..
i sincerely thank you..
what a small world it is.
on another not-so-tragic day
your comment would have made me sooo happy.
it does cheer me up a little though..
thank you..
find beauty in yourself too..
i'm sure you're special.

helloo..
9th feb is drawing nearer.
breathe easy ya??
people always get a shock when
they receive their results..
and i mean a pleasant shock..;)
chill and take life as it goes.
that's what i've been telling myself
over and over again.
if i don't make it to mass com in a poly,
(TOUCH WOOD!!)
(heh.
i'm not superstitious btw.)
i can study private too.
because,
mass com is an arena in which
the level of education doesn't matter,
or even the certificate.
its all about talent.
a dip holder will get a job at SPH
over a degree holder if he can write better.
something i was thinking about:
there are 2 kinds of pretty.
1 kind would be the jeanette aw
kind. the pleasant looking sweet type.
the other kind would be the stunning kind,
like dawn yang.
obviously i prefer the stunning kind.
went shopping today with my family,
excluding my brother.
i was a wee bit reluctant at first.
i hate shopping!
the crowd, the noise...
we went to bugis junction for a while.
then my sis's brilliant idea was to
go to bugis street..the pasar malam-like
place with supposed cheap and good bargains.
Oh.my.goodness.
the crowd there was unbearable.
ren shan ren hai, as the chinese would say.
it stank =::::( ,
and i wonder how many times people
touched my butt.
?_?
arrrgh...
i stood at a corner with my dad while
my sis dragged my mum into the sea of people.
crazy.i'll never shop there.
the clothes are just...not my cup of tea.
but the prices are good for sure.
with the price i normally pay for a
piece of clothing i can get many pieces
of clothing there -_-
give me a shopping centre anytime...
i'm hunting for formal shorts.
the nice ones are at topshop.
but i wouldn't pay close to
a hundred for shorts!!
anyway to sum up my purchases
for the day, just 2.
fake eyelash glue,from bugis street,
and a shirt from outfitter girls
in bugis junction
that says...
Dreams do come true
when you're hot.
i fancy it loads.
and isn't it true?
lol.
experiment for the day:
wearing shades.
i wore shades today.
and the result of the experiment...
no diff.
people still observe me.
for instance while i was waiting for my sis
2 ladies just wouldn't stop talking about me.
even my dad noticed.
am i that nice to talk about?
i hate prying eyes.
teenagers these days are sad cases.
girls that look 15 walk around with
lovebites on their necks.
i really can't stand it when they
flaunt it.
there's nothing great about fooling around.
and it just makes them look low class.
wear a collar for pete's sake.
the world is getting a warped idea
of what's cool and what's not.
it struck me today that soon
all my good friends will be gone..sob.
how great it was to see them
almost everyday in school.
we're all at crossroads again..
and not everyone will be going
the same way...
ok..i just have to get this thought
out of my head.
divide an even number, X, by half
and subtract 1.
call the result Y.
then subtract Y from X,
to get Z.
note that 4 is the only number
in which Y is 3 times that of Z.
yup.
random thought.
future theorem?
maybee... ~_^

Cherry chocolate cake for breakfast.
It feels like eternity since i last blogged.
i've been busy working!
i'll relate harrowing experiences later.
was flipping through urban,
when i saw something so beautiful
that it almost made me cry.
www.lgpradaphone.com
they have collaborated...
and come up with such a sleek baby.
and the best part===
there's NO BUTTONS AGAIN!!
just like my chocolate.
except that its touch screen.
one thing about people who use
touch sensitive phones is that they either
hate it or love it.
and if they hate it,
they'll go back to buttons but if they love
it they'll be repulsed by buttons.
and i just so happen to love it ;)
i want this phone!!
launching end of next month or so.
but...but...
its $1 K ++++
-_-''''''''
never mind.
where there's a will there's a way =)
right.
on to work.
if i was given a dollar for everytime someone
asks me for directions, i'll be $150 richer.
oh and i understand why local women
want to marry expats.
they can be so thoughtful.
always showering their wives
and kids with gifts.
OH btw my colleage's sis works in...
you know..M..
OE.
shh..
inside info says 10 feb for results release.
but the students themselves are saying 5th feb.
so its still uncertain.
yesterday i was serving some rich customers.
they were from vietnam or something.
a couple and their son who was in his late 20s.
not bad looking, in fact like a korean actor.
decked out in a suit.
they had a lady who was escorting them,
showing them around.
while his mum bought stuff ($400++!!)
the son stood at one side,
looking at me.
it was uncomfortable.
but heck, life had to go on,
and i had some customers to serve!
after his mum was done they walked away.
the son trailed behind, walked up to me,
and whispered in my ear:
thank you.
it sent shivers down my spine.
of the negative kind.
i just ignored him.
AHHHHHH!!!!
it was pissing me off and he knew it.
someone pls bury this brat in a rice padi or something.
whatever vietnam has more of.
and just as he walked off,
my mum came over to visit me
and asked me who that guy was.
!0_0!
did it look that bad?
in the morning there was this lady
who kept praising me for no reason.
i was wondering why, and then she suddenly tried
to tell me about her son that she was going to pick
up later.
she went on and on and......
i was so grateful when customers came and
i had to serve them,
thereby ending the "introduction"
session.
horror of horrors!!
matchmaking your son!
i've gotta run, work later..
4-10.
no more weird people,
have mercy on me.
